Don’t forget HVAC – yearly tasks

How do you keep your life in order? Do you use some kind of a to-do list system? Do you keep a digital calendar on your phone and computer? Or do you use an old-school analog planner, like some of us who are more visual people? Personally, I use all three of these measures.

I also like to add notifications to my phone and to ask my closest friends and family to send me reminders from time to time.

The thing is, they’re just so many things to remember throughout your adult life. It’s not so easy to keep your work, family, and household responsibilities in order. I have daily to-do list, weekly to-do list, and even yearly to do lists. If you haven’t tried to this system, I recommend it. For instance, one of the things that I often used to forget each year was to have my air temperature control equipment properly maintained by a certified heating and cooling technician. For whatever reason, it just escaped my brain every single fall and spring. My heating and cooling equipment was never well serviced as I entered to the challenging seasons of the year. As a result, I wound up spending a lot of extra money on extraneous Heating and Cooling repairs down the line. It’s not cheap to have an emergency HVAC call in the middle of the night or on a long weekend. Since I’ve added these notifications to my life, I never have to personally remember to schedule my heating or cooling appointment. Google does it for me. Twice a year I’m sent a little reminder that my HVAC appointment is coming up. All I need to do is to confirm the appointment with my heating and cooling technician, who conveniently is saved as a primary contact in my phone. At this point, with life so well organized, there’s no excuse not to have the most high-quality indoor air in the neighborhood, as far as I’m concerned.
