Making more money during hot season than rest of the year

I’ve got to tell you, I am in a great mood today.

I woke up, I checked my bank account, and smiled.

For the past several months, you see, I have been working my butt off. I have easily been clocking 60 to 80 hours at work every single week. I have been raking in the overtime pay and seeing my bank account swell in turn. It’s been an incredibly lucrative season, and I am so excited for this extra padding as the holiday season approaches. You see, I’m not exactly a seasonal worker, but my job is much more difficult during certain times of the year. I happen to work in the heating, cooling, and ventilation industry in a very warm climate. Ollier, people need advice when it comes to purchasing and installing Central cooling systems to deal with the overwhelming heat and humidity outside. We have a very busy season every spring, as the outdoor air temperature finally begins to heat up. People start freaking out about the coming summer air, and immediately call out to the HVAC specialist for cooling system maintenance and repairs. I usually earn some extra cash around this time, but also work myself into the ground for a few months. The bigger rush, if you can believe it, comes as cool fall air begins to settle into the region. Even though we have a fairly mild winter in these parts, people really panic about their central furnaces. On the first fall day, I generally have an influx of phone calls and service appointments. Suddenly, my day becomes extremely packed with emergency repair services and heating consultations, and stays that way for 2 more months. I’m not sure why people are so concerned with their central heating systems down here in the south, but I guess they have no tolerance for cold air.
