I just love the wintertime! Ever since I was just a child, I have loved the snow.
To me, there is nothing like walking outside on a cold winter morning and seeing a fresh layer of snow blanketing the ground.
One of my childhood dreams was to live in a place where there is snow year round. After marrying my highschool sweetheart, we moved way up North where there truly is snow for the majority of the year. Many of my friends thought that I would get sick of the snow and cold after a few years, but it certainly hasn’t happened yet. We have lived up North for almost ten years, and I still love every second of living in this winter wonderland. My favorite types of days are the days when it’s blizzarding outside, and there’s nowhere to go, so I sit at home with my wood stove and a good book. My wood stove is practically my best friend when it comes to keeping warm in this cold, snowy place. Having a wood stove also keeps me busy and gets me some exercise by having to chop wood to keep it going. My husband thinks is funny that I love my wood stove so much. He would prefer to have just an electric furnace to heat the house because it’s so much easier and less messy. He knows that I love the wood stove though, so he would never get rid of it. It may sound crazy, but I think, wintertime is the best time of the year.
