When I think of Thanksgiving I think of family as well as memories. My associate and I have spent so many years celebration around the family table as well as it has been some of the best times ever. As my associate and I reminisce each year my associate and I consistently bring up the year that Dad almost blew up the house. Yes, that is what I said, my associate and I genuinely feared for our lives that afternoon, then not only did he destroy the turkey that year he ruined the air handler outside too. He decided that he wanted to deep fry a turkey as well as didn’t follow all of the guidelines. He overfilled the oil pot as well as when he dropped the turkey in the oil that poured over the top burst into flames. If that had been it my associate and I could have endured it but it started a chain reaction of events that was nothing but horrifying. The flames swiftly spread to the picnic table, chairs, as well as bushes. Dad ran for the fire extinguisher but by the time he returned the air handler cover had melted too. It was made of strenuous plastic as well as the top of it was a mess. Once the fire was out as well as all the people calmed down my associate and I started thinking of how awful it could have been. My associate and I ended up ordering Chinese for dinner that year as well as Dad had to contact the HVAC contractor the next afternoon to supply him an estimate on fixing the HVAC unit. Thankfully the homeowners insurance paid for the repairs as well as Dad gave up the idea of deep frying a turkey ever again. My associate and I can laugh about this all these years later as well as my associate and I have had many nice memories to replace that terrible one.
