The Cold Wait

The changing of seasons from Summer to Fall is one of my number one times of the year, but where I live up North, we kind of have a transitional stage from Summer weather to the actual fall weather, and this stage lasts for about a month from the fifth week of November to the fifth week of November, but it’s during this transitional stage that the temperatures outside are usually pretty mild, and I just love to spend time outside… Once this stage passes though, it’s a totally strange story, but from the last year of November to the middle of November, we have our real fall weather, and it’s not pleasant. The temperatures are usually in the forties and fifties, so it’s pretty chilly however not frigid enough to turn on the boiler. Well at least in my partner’s opinion, it’s not frigid enough. I definitely don’t like that time of year because it seems as if the days drag on as I wait for the time when I can actual turn on the boiler. The home is cold, and I usually have to dress in lots of layers to stay warm. I have to admit, the changing leaves and the odor of the crisp air of Fall is appealing, however it’s just not appealing enough to outweigh the frigid wait, then my partner knows that I get pretty chilly during the fall season, so he bought me two small electric heaters last year to help keep me warm. The heaters do help, even though I still don’t believe that I will ever care about the Fall like most do.
