Went in to water plants; broke temperature control

When the air quality control specialist arrived at the scene, he told me that the temperature control was broken..

Sometimes the best intentions have the worst outcomes. I know this from my own life and I’ve seen it far too more than 2 times. Recently, I felt that I was doing the right thing when I dropped by my friend’s dwelling to make sure that her plants were doing okay. She and her wifey had gone out of neighborhood for a few afternoons to say goodbye to her dad. I wanted to make sure that everything was in tip-top shape back at her house. Unfortunately, I should have thought through all of the potential ways that I could create a disaster. Namely, by bothering to touch the temperature control I could completely ruin their central heating and cooling system. The problem started when I walked into the dwelling and realized that the indoor air was moderate and muggy. It seems like the central cooling system wasn’t doing its task. The indoor air was even hotter than outside and the a/c unit sounded completely silent. I started fiddling with the temperature control, trying to switch it over to the cooling function and engage the giant cooling system outside. Instead, the temperature control started bconnecting random lights at me and making odd sounds. After a moment or two, the temperature control screen went completely blank and I couldn’t feel any fresh indoor air passing through the vents anymore. I have no idea how to repair the new temperature control so I immediately called out a professional Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company for help. When the air quality control specialist arrived at the scene, he told me that the temperature control was broken… But more substantially the a/c had been fried. My buddy didn’t cherish my fantastic intentions when I had to tell her that I broke their pricey a/c.
